Monthly Progress Report October

My monthly progress reports serve a couple of purposes:

  • The first one, and primary reason for doing them, is that it allows me to see where I have been, where I am going, and where I am falling short in my personal goals.

  • The second purpose they serve is to let people, new accounts and old, see an honest representation of an account built from scratch and not really knowing anything at all about cryptocurrency.

October started out pretty slow for me, and then picked back up in the second half. Over all I think I did pretty good for October. On with the report.

Monthly Charts and Tables

The Monthly Progress Report Table:

Monthly Tracking Table
Pretty similar to Septembers results slightly less growth, but not by a large margin. Number of postings down, and that effects a lot of the numbers. Fortunately I did have a lot of fun with commenting and found lots of things to comment on.

October Monthly Pie Chart
Pretty even mix of earnings, remember the HBD-C figure is based on today's Hive market price, and it was a very good conversion/sell rate of almost 8 Hive for 1 HBD. I wish I had more HBD sitting around somewhere because that I think is a record rate.

October Monthly Account Growth
I was able to add almost 250HP to my powered up Hive, yes a lot of that came today for Hive Power Up day, I had been saving it and not powering up as I go so I could get he next size bee badge. A silly thing, but I hopefully made the next level bee.

There are still a few glitches being worked out from HF24, and that is the reason for no current APR from LeoStats page.

Engagement Charts and Tables:

Levels of Engagement Chart
I am pretty happy with the last three months, I hope I can get the bars up just a little bit higher in November and December I would really like to reach my year end goal.

Monthly Post Chart
Not so good in the posting actions this month. I am going to need to try a bit harder. Maybe a few more pictures of the snows, and the cold will help, or a holiday story or two.

October Engagement League Activity
I have been on a steady climb the last few weeks, always nice to see the trending lines going up and not down. I was pleasantly surprised this morning to see that I had made it to number seven spot on the league this week, my best placing so far in Hive.

October Daily Comments
As you can plainly see October started on a rather down note when it came to comments from me, there was a sharp rise for one day then a steady trickle in a downward spiral. It will really help with my year end goal if I am able to maintain the end of the month trend into November.

October Comment Commitment
It is going to be pretty touch and go for my year end goal. I'll be close I think, but I really need to keep my comment levels up over the next two months. Hopefully November will be a good month.

Conclusion and side notes:

Hard Fork 24 is done, there is still a little bit of fallout from it, but those issues are being worked on, hopefully for November I will be able to continue my APR tracking from LeoStats.

If you are interested in getting started on tracking your progress Asher makes it pretty easy with his Curation and Engagement League that link is to today's post, just drop a comment you want to be added and the tracking begins. Also you can meet a lot of people who are interested in comments and engaging on Hive in a Social Manner.

Thank you for the help and support.

I love your progress reports! They are so incredibly well organized and easy to understand. Good on you.

My comment trend line is also up at the end of the month. I'm still in reach of my year end goal there but I can't let up much.

Thanks for sharing your account with us.

I really hope I can keep the comments up between weekends. Galen's weekend post are a great boost to help make up for slow days during the week.

Yeah. It's my secret :)

My Bee Badges

I made it from the smallest to the almost biggest, I think only one more level to go, when my wings will stretch out from the boundaries.

I think for anyone who set goals for October or for the year, they were a little thrown by the hard fork. I saw more disruptions than I imagined there would be, but things are slowly coming back to life.. except for the price of HIVE.. that's just disappointing.

End of year uncertainties, bit coin ups and downs, I am sure there are a lot of other reasons for the price change, I do think it will go back up though. Yes the HF did a number on some things, but those issues are being resolved, and in the long run it looks like it will be easier for developers to build new tools, there seems to always be issues when trying to standardize systems. I remember back in windows explorer and Netscape days when HTML code would look different from one browser to the next.

I have no clue about the price of HIVE. I don't think all the exchanges have reinstated the trading of it since the whole Steem Hive crisis. From what I hear at least. If they do resume trading, some holders may unload.. the price would drop again. You never know with these things. One good onboard and the price may jump again.

It has been a slow road, but I am fine with that, at least the Hive amount keeps going up, and I am not to concerned with the fiat dollar value at this point in time.
