Alien Worlds - The metaverse reawakens and is on a clear mission

in LeoFinance3 years ago

Alien Worlds is a free play2earn game on WAX blockchain that created a sci-fi metaverse where players compete for scarce Trilium (TLM) resources on different Planets in the Galaxy. The gained TLM can be used in staking and voting in Planet Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (Planet DAOs), which determines the mineable resources in the Universe. While the entire Galaxy was archaic in the beginning with technology from 90s, a new civilization occupied the metaverse which resulted in a futuristic sci-fi revamp and gameplay improvements.

Alien Worlds brings a set of challenging functionalities to any explorer that steps into this metaverse:

  • Mining: Using suitable NFT game cards, players can mine Trilium from different planets.
  • Staking: Players stake Trilium to earn staking rewards in Trilium and NFT game cards and stake Trilium to Planets to increase the Planet’s reward pool.
  • Planet DAO governance: Participate in weekly elections for council candidates.
  • Trade NFT Game Cards: Players may trade NFT game cards on Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and WAX, to be used for mining and in-game missions.
  • Cross-chain bridge: Teleporting TLM between BSC, WAX, and Ethereum (https://teleport.alienworlds.io/).

Alien Worlds Missions are in the making and the explorers will soon be able to go on missions and seek rewards of Trilium and BSC NFTs. The players will need to lease a spaceship by staking TLM tokens and go into different missions that will provide resources through a shared pool of TLM tokens. Each month there will be eight different Planet Binance Missions NFT game cards on the Binance Smart Chain, related to the start of these eight missions. These NFTs can boost your performance. This should bring a new dimension to the game and who knows, maybe propel it to the previous highs it once lived.

The game is quite easy to play, you can register using a Google Account which will create a WAX cloud account behind the scene and you will be given some primitive tools (a shovel) for you to start mining. As you earn more and more TLM you can buy better mining tools and boost your earnings. And later on, once the Missions feature is released, you'll be able to explore the Galaxy and compete for TL in deep space. It is clear that Alien Worlds is now on a clear path to greatness and that this Metaverse will once again shine within the Galaxy. Thus, I intend to keep all my mined TLM for the release of the missions as those will bring more rewards than imagined!

Honestly, i think the economics of alien worlds are quite good. But the whole clicken the whole time for digging tlm. Damn that was just a drag ror real!

So staying out of this one this time

I've started playing Alien Worlds quite from the beginning and I think I made over $8K out of it when they've launched their LP on BSC. They've put some new developments in the game and with missions AW might get back to its previous glory, I wouldn't stay away from it but rather accumulate TLM.

I owned a bunch of TLM a few months ago, solely for the purpose of trading, but got out of it at a loss. I am excited about the idea of metaverses and I see them as enhancing the digital economy we are upon.

AW might be on a comeback when they launch the mission's features. They redid all the UX so it shows quite great and hopefully that they are more serious to deliver new use cases.

I pulled out 2 months ago and sold my expensive tools.

I did the same from 2 of my accounts, but I have 2 others that I left for ongoing mining operations. We might see another big push when the missions will launch.

I've heard of Alien Worlds, what is that comment about 'clicking all time' about - is this a game that requires you to be online giving it some attention all day?

I feel like I should explore Wax games more thoroughly!

If you are using basic mining tools like the shovel that gets you low mining rewards, but you can mine more often - like 10/15 minutes or so. I am using some better mining tools and I am mining on one account at 1-hour intervals and on another at 2 hours intervals. Thus it is not as often and simply click less during the day, no big effort. You can have much stronger tools which will require mining more at bigger intervals.

Oh OK it does sound interesting.

Although TBH I'm quite reluctant to move any funds out of Splinterlands ATM - doesn't seem a great deal of point, I think this is the place to be!

That is true, but I think is worth at least giving it a try. Simply try the game, do some shovel mining and you can see it from there if it is worth it... or if Splinterlands is enough, you cannot lose with it!
