As you can see my voting power is rubbish and my curation rewards are dismal. But hey i'm learning.
You should.... be able to get that up to about 10% by being smarter... so that is what i am going to do... :-)
My Hive Plan
so Yes i am here to make some money... but i LOVE blogging and writing and creating and i really think this is a great job for me. I want to leave the workplace and work from home and turn my hobbies into a full time income. (As passively as possible of course).
So i was reading up on how to improve my hive returns
- Post great quality content that gets voted - easy... lol... well obvious if not easy
- Curation get paid for liking and reblogging posts
- ROI - Basically that your hive and HP gets interest the longer you hold it
So i was investigating Curation - i know that liking everything wastes your curation value but i did not know that it is not really worth voting on comments if your VP voting power is not like about 2cents.

Very interesting stuff about how to use your voting power to curate and get some passive income. either by manual voting and NEVER letting your voting power go below 80% or using a voting service is you are too busy. I mean if you miss a few days then your voting power is going to waste and not earning you ANYTHING.
REVIEWING MY PRACTICES
NOTE MY HIVE POWER WAS REALLY LOW LIKE 50% as i decided yesterday to like all the comments i recieved... whoops.... Newbie in the driver seat!
Bought Hive and powered it up
So was going to wait till the market cools off to buy some more hive... but i decided to go grab another $100 worth now. so i got about 60HIVE - i had 10 sitting in CS anyway so i shovelled them over. When i powered up those HIVE it improved my VP by about 10%. Therefore IF your VP is low you CAN fix it by buying a shite load of HIVE (or just wait the 2 days to let it regen). Basically mine will now be back to 100% in 1 day and not 2. So that is good.
As you can see here... powering the HIVE improved the issue a bit
Kept some Hive and my HBD in savings
So i originally put 5o HIVE in the savings to get return. The return is 10% so i have kept some in there because if i take a break or anything then i will still get the ROI. Might be better in HP. but i have kept it there for now.
NO comment voting for now... (commenting is fine) just a day till its 100% again
and basically just no voting for now.. i'll have to come back and vote things i want later.
When i am back to 100% only selecting a few awesome posts a day to vote on.
then just dont like comments that are crap. (Genuine ones are all good).
Create content for now
So this afternoon i will create a few posts and schedule them over the next few days.
i do this anyway when i am at work. Just simple little posts mostly about my art and photography stuff normally. Even if they only earn a little bit. They are all practice at what i need to do. The more you write and create the better you get right!!

comments don't cost voting power so i can comment and connect and find other people to follow. See who wants to chat and get to know a few bloggers.

Hi thanks for stopping along. Yes your voting power is not registering as you need more HIVE POWER :-) I started registering 1cent at about 100 HIVE i think...

You are making great progress. Curation is a great thing, you are helping others while also helping yourself. You will grow so you can help others to grow and the cycle continues. Look into Engagement token as a way to reward comments and check out the curation windows.
Thanks so much. Yes unlike say affiliates, Hive is more about everyone giving a leg up to everyone else. Some people legs a bigger... but the shorter legs will grow.
