I'm not sure about the process in Canada, but in the States, if you don't pay your workers, the Department of Labor gets pretty bent out of shape with the employer with fines and all kinds of things. That being said, they sure understand that people have to eat. Sounds like you have options you are investigating so I'd keep those open for sure and at the very minimum, they should be disclosing to you what the plan and timeline are to get you paid.

Yeah, their first notice was about a month ago that they were running into problems. But I can see more evidence that this isn't looking good long term.
