people are afraid of the freaking vaccine which has been around for almost 200 years, not sure how well received the neuralink will be by the general population. The conspiracy nuts I'm sure are having a field day.

True... that's how I think too...
But Taskmaster made a good point... in the end it doesn't really matter because that portion of the population won't have the numbers to stop the technology from going viral. Once it reaches critical mass, haters gonna hate but it's going to happen.
