Dylan Cease tosses the second no-hitter in Padres history!

LOL they are now tied with the Mets.
He needs to train more, right? LOL
A no-hitter is one of the hardest thing to do in baseball throughout it's very long history. The organization had only one other pitcher throw a no-hitter for the Padres. Dylan Cease did it today. That's actually historical. He will go doing in baseball lore with a handful of others @coyotelation - in simple terms, no one got a hit against him in today's game.
Thanks for explaining. This made me even more curious to research no-hitter.

@taskmaster4450le - watching the A's and Angels game since it's the only MLB game on tonight but is some good young talent on these below average teams and just saw Mike Cameron's son launch one. Kid's name is Daz.
I think I remember his name in the draft a number of years ago.
It is show we are getting older when we see the kids of players we watched.
Actually it is when kids of players we watched are retired for a while that it really hits. Like Gary Matthews Jr...I remember Sarge playing.

Hey @taskmaster4450le my assessment earlier carried over into today's game. Lindor and McNeil continue to carry the Mets and the pitching did a commendable job. Sevy and Butto were damn good today.

Very low on the list.
For the most part, when yo uhave baseball teams, their support is local. Only the Dodgers and Yankees really have a national fanbase.
I understand, but in your specific case you support the Mets, which is a team from New York and you live in Florida if I'm not mistaken. You are a fan beyond borders.
A very nice win for the Mets. Getting the first win in a four game series against divisional foe Atlanta Braves in extra innings was oh so sweet.
Mets are now on a four game winning streak and 6 games over 500 and number 2 in the Wild Card race. Not bad for a team that was not expected to do much winning this season.
