The 'death cycle' of some $HIVE Layer 2 applications is inevitable, and needed for positive growth over time. Not everything will succeed. What peramiters are you using to determine potential investment value?

This is true of #technology and good to bring up to people. The majority of projects end up going under. Each industry is littered with carnage of projects that didnt work out.
The number of 'losers'. with rare exceptions. always exceeds the winners. Just a fact.
That is true in all aspects of life. The numbers always show how it is the case.
#technology brings the winner take most.
Yep! Now, how do we seperate the winners from the losers? That is always difficult in the begining of any new foray into uncharted arenas. I do think that in the end, the 'winners' will see expotential growth.
I am sure a lot of people thought Yahoo was a better deal when Google.
For me, I am focusing upon LEO. I think that will be a winner.
It's inevitable when there are many, many projects in a new field, there will be projects which fail and need to end. People involved w/ those projects can apply that experience 2 their new projects so that those mistakes aren't repeated.
One would hope that is the case. However, experience shows that often, very few learn those lessons along the way. :(
This is true, which means we need to develop the ability to not take part in projects involving those people.
It's difficult to properly 'vette' most projects on HIVE as there is limited, at best, information being provided. Toss in the "it's on HIVE it has to be amazing" mindset often seen, it muddies the waters of viability.
It's similar to trying to figure out which Hive Engine token to buy. What do people look at besides liquidity and activity? There's a reason why LEO is doing well while (for example) BLOG is an afterthought.
Indeed. The paramiters for investment seems to rely more on the hype than quantitative data. Welcome to the alternate reality of crypto logic! LOL
