Yes, all governments in the world bring oppression. The most real adaptation of HIVE is done as you say, with the testimony of the people. Many come because they see their relatives buying food with what they earn by posting here. However most don't dare even if they see it right under their noses. They may need years as in your case, when the mass here is bigger.
