I sometimes consider how other people feel when they do what the do on Hive and wonder how many actually enjoy themselves because they are interested in using their skill, not just the outcome of using their skill.
I enjoy the process of writing, and the idea of writing as a way of exploring my own thoughts. I also write for the practice (I'm not a bad writer, but there is plenty of room for improvement). I have grand ideas to actually write a book at some point (something linked to photography and insects) and I am under no illusion that the quality of my writing needs to improve.
I think that it is worth going through the process, working out what the overall goal is, putting together an image or two and testing a chapter. Who knows, you might really enjoy it and move to chapter two. :)
