2/ HDZ did lose seats, but with 3 more seats from diaspora and 8 ethnic minorities representatives traditionally supporting the strongest party, appears to be in good position to reach governing majority.

3/ Croatian opposition again failed to unseat HDZ, although this time it can nobody to blame by itself. Left-centre block of SDP and green We Can! party together got 2000 votes more than HDZ, but ended with 9 less seats.

4/ By walking out of the initial deal with SDP and running separately, even in four constiuencies where it could not expect to pass over 5 pct threshold, We Can! allowed the gerrymandering to work its magic and its votes to be added to seats for HDZ.

5/ To make things even more embarrassing for We Can!, this strategy not only benefited HDZ, but also far right Fatherland Movement (DP), which, according to election results analysis, gained at least 2 seats due to We Can! falling below tresshold in Slavonia and Dalmatia.
