Half of my posts on hive are crypto and investing related. So I will post them here instead / as well. It's nice to have the majority of crypto and investing related stuff under one roof. Then I can use my hive blog for the other hobbies I have. Thanks @trumpman for telling me about this place and @khaleelkazi for the links. I hope I can add some value somehow. Teach a few things, but mostly just learn. Reimerse myself into crypto again.

I am a long time hodler, through the rides and deaths of Bitcoin. I of course should have got out at the good times and reentered. I was to quick to fall in love with the technology and the coins I was buying so I just kept them. I intend to keep buying and hodling coins. However I am also going to try so short term gain trading. I will keep whoever cares updated through here. As well as any coin studies I do, in case I find any information someone finds useful.

Ever since I joined steem a long time ago my goal was to get to 10k Steem. It was achievable. I just had to accumulate when I could and post frequently. I was never able to get there before the Hive / Steem split. Now I decided I could get 10k Hive and consider that a goal realized. Then I joined Leo.finance and found out there's a whole other coin that I don't own any of. Should I push towards my goal of 10k Hive. Or should I get myself a bag of Leo since I'm going to be posting here occasionally. Decisions decisions. What do you guys think?

Sounds good Doc. Welcome to LeoFinance!

I also started accumulating LEO when I was receiving my weekly STEEM power down and I haven't looked back.

Should I push towards my goal of 10k Hive. Or should I get myself a bag of Leo since I'm going to be posting here occasionally. Decisions decisions.

These 2nd layer tokens such as LEO offer further opportunities to earn and gain influence. They're definitely worth looking further into.

For some inspiration about what's possible here, check out the linked post showing the LeoFinance authors that earn more in LEO than HIVE.

Pretty cool huh!

Thanks for having me! Ya I have 1 or 2 more days before my first pwoer down, then I will see what kind of coins I can get with that.

At least for this post I've earned much more Leo than Hive myself. I just seen that there are a decent amount of 2nd later tokens. Like on the bottom of your profile I see Infowars tokens even. Is there a database of 2nd later tokens anywhere or a post that covers most of them?

Thanks for taking the time to respond, and for all the info and suggestions. You are appreciated.

You can check out the https://leodex.io/tokens page to see other HE tokens. There are a lot out there and some have value/liquidity while others don't 🦁

Sweet, thanks. I'll check them out!

There is no reason you can't have your cake and eat it to with both prices so low. Welcome to the community.

I'm going to try I guess lol. I'm just never as rich as I want to be and I work as many hours as I can without hating my life haha. I'm trying to save and accumulate some crypto again though. So. I will get some Leo and some Hive.

Hey, I'm also a long term hodler here :)

Regarding LEO, the liquidity is still very thin and if you try to sell huge amounts at market rates the slippage will kill most your profits (if not all of them). if you decide to go into it I recommend 'being sure' about the decision. If you go in now, going out (fast) later is hard.

On the other hand, there's a lot of potential profits on the table. From my own experience, I started accumulating huge amounts at 0,035 HIVE/LEO. Now it's at 0,14 and remains stable (previous peak of 0,25-0,3).

The project still needs users, traction and activity overall but has been delivering so far. IMHO it's the most successful HE token until date.

If possible, I always recommend a 'mixed' position. Purchase/Withdraw huge amounts of LEO is hard, but you can also delegate some of your hive to @leo.voter and you'll receive a daily flow of LEO equaling to ~16%APR, it's another option to consider.

You could delegate 2500HP to leo.voter and you would be receiving ~7,5 daily LEO at current rates.

Also, if you post from the leo interface ( https://leofinance.io/ ) you'll receive more LEO upvotes (including mine ;) )

Cheers!

Indeed. I won't be selling any large amounts anytime soon. I would rather hold and lock coins up and try to build something. Thanks for all the info though, I will look into leo.voter and see how all that works. It's nice to meet you

Good to have you on board!

just do both? :)

10k in both? Lol I don't know if I'm that rich. I'm a construction worker haha! But I am powering down my Steem so I will put it somewhere, maybe a little bit of both. Thanks for the suggestion

I think LEO’s got a lot of potential and the APR as a HODLer is really great too. I am biased though :)

Excited to see you here! Thanks for joining the community 🦁
