Cause I used to just go there (discord) and report. Just interested to know if there is a new automated procedure... so I can tag stuff for either other people to watch and curate (either as spam or not) or the automated procedure.
I'm not sure I understand what you're saying, but I'll try to answer your questions the best way I can.
There's no automated process. You downvote whatever post you think it's spam, plagiarism or any kind of abuse. That's your right and in a way an obligation as well. Then you can report to Hivewatchers and the community that concerns as well. Then Hivewatchers decides what to do, give warning or blacklist if it's a repeated abuse.
Communities is a different matter, every community has its own rule. Leofinance is quite crazy. Let me go look for the screenshot in my phone and post it in the continuation of this comment.
So you can tag people you know to tell them a post is worth reading or curating, that's fine but tagging hundreds or thousands is not ok. That list could have been made with usernames without tagging.
Users have access to the database and the problem starts when they do post about different statistics, like how much has been powered up/user, some on a daily bases to get rewards. Imagine being tagged for something you already know just for the poster to get rewarded. Things van get crazy pretty quickly.

Bots have nothing to do with this. Hivewatchers used to warn and then blacklist users, if reported, plus downvotes from the community.

Sometimes I agree…. But depends on the post. If for genuine help I would not consider spamming but that’s my non engineer part speaking.
