General Motors can go to hell in a high speed elevator. After what they did to their investors during the first months of the Obama reign of error I won't have anything to do with them.
As for Prius. My daughter in law owned one. Nice care but, unlike ICE, it has a limited life. Once the battery is old it has to be replaced and THAT takes a LOT of money. She learned that the hard way and didn't buy a second one.
Did I mention batteries? That's the crux of the matter. Electric Vehicles need much better batteries. End of story.
My rule of thumb. "If an industry required a subsidy to compete then it's not ready for prime time."
EV's are nice for Urban driving. In rural west Texas? Not so much.
