Just finished watching a useful little documentary on crypto and bitcoin. Cryptopia: Bitcoin And The Future Of The Internet is a great way to introduce crypto and the blockchain to friends and family that are new to the subject. They gently explain things in a way that the average Joe can understand, while breaking down all of the jargon that most of us crypto-geeks can tend to get bogged down in.
We hear from many of the industry heavyweights such as the founder of etherum, The "Bitcoin Jesus" (I know some of you don't like him, but he's a part of crypto history) and the Greek guy with the long name nobody can spell. What I love about it, is the visual way they block sizes, which will be key to helping the masses understand issues within the blockchain. After watching this Doc, I think viewers will come away with a fuller picture of how things work in our world and why this is the wave of the future.
Just to be clear, this was not made for bloggers on Hive, Leofinance and other tribes. This is the film you steer your friends and relatives to when they start bugging you with too many questions about crypto. So you can just lead them to the nearest TV screen, fire up Amazon Prime and tell them "all will be explained, just watch." Easy peasy, their out of your hair and you can resume your Porn-hub session in peace. ;)
Cryptopia takes the viewer through everything step by step, covering the past, present and future of the blockchain. After watching it, a soccer mom could walk away with an understanding of what a smart contract is, it's that good at breaking things down. Even I learned a thing or two I didn't know before and maybe you will too. Screen it, and if you like what you see, pass it along to someone you love. Who knows, they just might buy some HIVE as a result, and right now, THAT would be a good thing for us all.
