May I suggest for HIVE network to be able to reward published posts forever, instead of just the 7 days window?

It'd be more rewarding to put in more effort in each blogpost that can still be useful 5-10 years from now.

I get the tip part.
If I'm not mistaken, giving tip means giving a token to the writer, right?
I prefer the upvote option.
I feel it's not the same with upvoting where the viewer/audience will really not lose anything from.

It was discussed in one of twitter spaces regarding post renovation stuff that you can like re-new the post making it available for rewards for additional 7 days.

I don't know if this is technically possible and if #hive blockchain allows

Renew without editing anything?

Wouldn't that hurt our algorithm in search engines? :)

I think renew with editing for updates, can be done and good depending on the post.

True, I personally feel this to be a great idea if applicable although everything comes with some adverse effects and so does this...

That's why you have the tip button. Anyone can tip you in the next 5-10 years if they find it useful.

Or was there an abuse exploited back in Steem days that devs wouldn't want this route anymore? Maybe that can enlighten us

I realized something so NVM.

My suggestion sucks and might be abused with multiple accounts.

Basically just have a lot of owned LP and HP. vote using account1 -> delegate to account2 to vote -> undelegate -> delegate account3 to vote

That seems fantastic idea but discussion needed on this topic.

It's up to layer 2 to monetise the content in its own way.

Leo will be the first to truly innovate in this regard.

Soon.
