It's difficult to see from the edge while in the capsule but the gem adds another 3mm thickness above the surface of this coin's reverse. A deeper non-standard capsule had to made to accommodate the added depth by the gem, higher relief.
A coin of this quality I dare not remove it from it's protective capsule.
Okay, so which coins can you remove? I have taken all of mine out and felt them, flipped them, etc. I keep them in the cases they came in but I didn't realize there was a problem with taking some out. I will be more careful in the future. I have a yin yang coin that I carry in my pocket sometimes but it was given as a gift to carry and keep me grounded. It was blemished when I got it.
