I guess the story is being reminded every once in a while. But even if new users go over there and see the trending, they should be quite clear there isn't much going on. If they see the amounts and are attracted by that, that's precisely because rewards aren't distributed widely and end up in a couple of pockets. And new users will have no chance over there.
I don't know what mistakes were made with Budlight marketing (don't know any details), but we are talking about publicity, people talking about your product for free. If you are out of the spotlight, even bad publicity is good publicity because it brings you back into the spotlight, even temporarily.
