If you need info beyond sifting through old articles and whatnot and need clarification on something don't be afraid to as someone on here. A lot of the accounts that you named above are still active and likely have better recollection of events than I do regarding most happenings.
Please refrain from the massve wall of names with @ signs in front of them as you're jut begging to get downvoted due to the fact that every single individiual present in that list got an alert on their browser, phone etc etc which is likely to cause a bit of backlash.
Steem / HIVE has a colourful past compared to other blockchains.. It's certainly at the very least a cautionary tale about how ninja premining by a private company can have dire effects on a public blockchain.
I agree that decentralization of the chain should be a priority. Both in terms of server location for nodes ands as far as further spreading of HIVE tokens to promote more variety and less old boys club amongst top witnesses (not saying the current witnesses are doing a bad job though).

Everything on chain is transparent obviously.. Although the chain does not record motive nor political atmosphere at all sadly.
