Well, a whole heck of a lot has happened in the last 8 days. I did write up and was going to post an update while on the road, but “something” happened and even the draft wasn’t restorable, so here we are.
I’m currently sitting in front of The Museum of the American Sailor on the edge of Naval Starion Great Lakes waiting for my sailor son to be released for weekend liberty.
We watched him and 1146 sailors graduate yesterday. It was amazing. I’ll do a whole post on that spectacle.
I’m a bit of a spectacle too. Traveling 1700+ miles while a full time college student is a bit of a chore. I’ve made it work, but let’s just say I have zero free time.
We sure have seen some things. Experienced some things, and are just plain happy about things. The last 3 months were the first time I’ve been apart from our kiddo for any long length of time with basically no communication. We also moved and had a ton of life changes in that period too. It’s been a wild year.
But today, today I’m gonna nosh on deep dish pizza with the boy and my two neighbor heathens who are college students in these here parts. I love me some family time🥰
