I would say it is run by active satanists. The Vatican has been completely taken over. It is up to the laity to save the body of Christ (the church). Though it probably will get worse first. We are still short of seeing gay marriage at a service and female priests.

The Vatican wasn't taken over, it was founded by pagans, and was only ever meant to be a tool of suppression.
Were not all Christians something else before turning to Christ? I was lead to believe Constantine's mother, Helena, was the catalyst for the conversion of Constantine.
