I came across this wonderful crypto project few days ago and felt it really needed push from crypto comunity to reach crypto more people.Their tag #byeuber is became very trending in Austin and they are already successful over last four years.
Arcade City !
Arcade city is startup started in the California to tokenise the cab fares and transportation. In California around 1,00,000 drivers are working under Uber and Lyft. These two also operates a largest drivers oragnised under them. As centralized entities they control everything about the fares and drivers commissions.
They decide about the drivers timings, rides and even threat them to layoff. For example When Austin voters soundly rejected Uber and Lyft's attempt to rewrite the rules in their favor, the corporations shut down service in Austin for an entire year. About 10,000 drivers were put out of a job with just 48 hours' notice.
Prop1 deals with regulations of the taxi fares in Austin which was against voters favor. The both companies Uber and lyft shutdown their services after people voted against Prop1 leaving the drivers unemployed in a day.
The same thing is happening now in California. The Uber and Lyft are threatening to shutdown when asking to classify drivers as their employees. This will leave thousands of drivers unemployed amid pandemic situation.
Behind the story
First on the scene was Arcade City, connecting riders and drivers peer-to-peer in a 30,000-member Facebook group. Some of the 10,000 drivers recently out of a job stepped up to run the new network themselves, creating a charter of policies they themselves wrote and enforced.
Four years later, every startup that raced to Austin is now dead and gone — except Arcade City.

- Choose what payment options they accept: cash or cards or Venmo or bitcoin or tacos or barter or anything else
- Can truly set their own schedule: no need to chase surge bonuses or jump through hoops just to break even
- Have the freedom to build their own recurring customer base no one can take away from them
- Make more money over time, not less
- Govern themselves according to the charter they wrote and enforce via a rotating team of volunteer moderators
This is the project with real use case that can easily accessed by thousands of drivers and passengers which they get in to crypto without knowing too.
I strongly believe and holing 11000 tokens because mutual trading between passengers and drivers happens continuously.
Already in success in Austin.

One of our Austin drivers even showed me his Google calendar where he had the next two weeks fully booked with prescheduled rides with his regulars, who pay him better anyway. That is a level of job security and stability no rideshare company in the world is even capable of matching — because I as "CEO" could not take those relationships away from him even if I tried.
That was wonderful thing to listen about a tokenised project as a member of crypto community an really needed this to save ourselves and drivers job security from this centralized entities.

Truths and Reality
As per the site states there is no governance or roadmap for the project. They declared no crypto project which have solid roadmap or promises didn't reached to masses, they believe in continuous experimenting and developing the project. This is what eexcited me too. No entrepreneur will agree that an startup immediately get success without any iteration of the feedback or hinders. Taking contious feedback and moving forward in favourable conditions only can sustain the startups.
I hope this as already successful project in Austin over 4 years have capability to spread over more places and bring utilization of crypto to more and more people.

Yes,there were many failed attempts from crypto startups to reach general masses..but this one looks solid for me and already successfully running over 4 years is not a joke.
