How high it cost to buy an average #house in your place?

I'm curious to know how huge the difference is to own a house in other #countries compared to houses in my country.

here we can own a nice house starts from $15,000-20,000 and the more high it goes, more better area and big house.

A big dream of my too own a house.

Sort:

average price around where i live (alberta, canada) is around $350,000

And you dont get a lot of home for that much lol

all the houses I'm seeing in comments are too costly..

The ratio about how many people actually own house there would be pretty big ig.

If you say "not many own house" - look at these numbers in Europe.

My country is 90%, But I wish it would be 96-98%

Impressive rate...

I'm actually surprised to see this stats and cost of those houses.

In South Texas you can buy homes between $100K and $300K, depending on the size and quality of the home. There are perfectly good homes still under $100K, if you're not too wrapped up in aesthetics.

it's like still so expensive imo (the one above 100-300k)

There are perfectly good homes still under $100K, if you're not too wrapped up in aesthetics.

Sounds good if comes with 2-3 bedrooms.

$350K-$500K here. But those I would like - are usually 600K+
Depends very much on location.

This is Way way too expensive..

In my town ( Vilnius) you can not buy even a small 50-60 sq. meter apartment (of a reasonable quality), without putting out ~170-190K
While some 50-60sq.m. apartments can be even 400-450 EURO ($500K)

do more people actually own houses or they usually go for rent?

I see, if the houses are this costly than wages should be high enough to sustain lifestyle.

I'm living in third world country and still a dream to buy a house which gonna cost around 15-20k USD.

We barely have 60-80 USD monthly pay here.

I know house around where I live can be found from 3k USD, but those are just a last resource, not worth even that money, then good ones start from 10k in bad areas and goes up from there

3k for real? Like in city side or rural areas?

Glad to see houses are that cheap there. It's in #Venezuela right?

Yeah, Venezuela.

The 3k one is rural, far from any main road or transportation, not water or services granted, so it's worth buying just to very desperate people.

Oh I see I see.

Seems like Venezuela and Pakistan have kind of same costs for houses..

Same here rural area is cheap but with facilities.

I'm cheering for you! Where would you live if you could choose anywhere in the world? 🌎

Thanks mate, in some place where living standard is better like civilized and educated, laws are respected, education is good and all.

I'm not sure which country in the world have all these and aren't expensive.

That's why seeing difference in this thread.

How about your at your side?

The benefits for me of living in Denmark outweighs the disadvantages. However, during the winter I would love to be able to just go anywhere warm 😁

Oh Denmark, Nice man!!

Try somewhere in Florida or California like warm places in winter :p

Would love to, but as of right now I barely have any time off from work during the winter 😅

Our place is the most expensive one after USA. lol

i heard Singapore is expensive but this is just on another level.

294k for a house with 2 bedroom... the heck..

living standard must be so high.

its either you are rich, or you are struggling lol... you just can't settle till old age.. you either adjust with struggle or you land up in such villas.

this is toooo much, as per standard of living, everybody income will be also high....

In my area, buying an apartment with single room to 2 rooms and about 20-30m2 will cost 150,000-200,000 €.

3-4 rooms and it gets to €300-400k.

I'm renting. 😀

man, I'm seriously in disbelief after hearing cost of houses.

Insanely high.. must be hard to own a house there.

How's the #rent then?

This is very close to downtown, so yeah, owning will definitely cost big €.

Rents sky high as well, I'm paying 870€/month...

870€/month... that's like I can live 2 years with ease in my country..

But sadly we have too low wages.

Too justify such High rent.. I'm sure they pay good wages.

Yeah, I guess the wages go hand in hand with rents in most countries or at least they should. Still, it's a bit too much. There's a lot of things affecting to that, in my case I have excellent public transportation connections for example.
