Does What Other People Think Matter? How To Deal With The Haters!
Do you ever feel like no matter how many posts you make, how many followers you gain, or how much you grow your account, people are still going to hate on you no matter what?
It’s true, we all live in a world where everyone is so quick to point out the negative and judge others. It can be super hard to deal with sometimes! But here’s the thing, what other people think doesn’t matter. Yes, it’s a scary thought to think that you could have a ton of followers and have no one cares. But it’s also a scary thought to think that you could have a small following and wonder why it's not growing. I know, it’s a difficult concept to wrap your head around. But trust me, if you’re longing for people to like your posts and follow you back, it’s because they don’t. Think about it this way: If people didn’t like your posts, they’d be talking about them. Instead, they’re talking about the next post that will hopefully get them likes. So here are a few ways you can get people to stop hating on you and start supporting you instead!
Make Better Content
What’s the first thing that comes to mind when someone off-handedly insults your work? I’m guessing it’s a picture of a troll scrolling through their feed and cackling as they down vote you. But the more you let it get to you, the less you’ll produce. Instead of letting people’s comments get to you, try to learn from them. Analyze the comments and see what people seem to be struggling with. Inevitably, there will be something in there that touches on your content.
If you notice an issue, try to address it in your next post. Remember, this is not a popularity contest. If people don’t like your post, it’s because it isn’t good enough. It doesn’t mean that you’re not allowed to post or that no one will like your photos. It just means that they aren’t going to rush to click that up vote button. Make better content, and you will see a difference in your comments!
Offer Great Service
Second, you have to offer great service. You see, when people order food, they don’t expect to be waiting an hour for it to arrive. They don’t expect the delivery guy to be a jerk. So people expect their social media posts to be delivered to their doorstep with love and appreciation. If you offer great service, people will start to appreciate it. And once they appreciate it, they’ll want to continue to support you.
Be Yourself
You’ve probably heard this advice a million times before, you have to be yourself. Yes, it’s important to post pictures of you eating tacos and sipping on margaritas. But balance out the posts about only good, with some posts about reality... you have to balance it out with those posts about how you’re saving for your first car and going to that workaholic’s conference next month. Yes, it’s important to have goals and dreams. But you have to be real with your followers. If you constantly post about how amazing your life is, no one is going to want to be a part of it. So post about how your work is stressing you out and how you’re planning on taking a month off from social media. Just be yourself, and people will start to like you again!
Deal With Haters With Humility
Again, this advice is probably very familiar to you by now, but you’ve got to give people credit where credit is due. There will always be haters. There will always be people who don’t like your posts or who distrust your motives. But you don’t have to let it get you down. If someone isn’t liking your posts, there are two things you can do. You can become more well-known, and they will be less likely to comment. Or you can become less well-known, and they will likely still be mean to you. Which is it going to be? I know which one I’d pick. But don’t let their comments get you down. Instead of letting it get to you, try to understand where they are coming from. Everyone has different likes and dislikes, so there’s no use in getting upset about it. Just move on and learn from the experience. This is easier said than done.
Get To Know Your Followers Personally
You may have amassed a huge follower base and don’t know who some of them are. It’s time to get to know them! On HIVE, go to your followers page and tap the you’re following button next to the users name. This will bring up a menu where you can see all of their posts, like them, message them, or send a follow request. It’s also a great way to see who is interested in your content and who you should follow for re-posting opportunities. Pay attention to who is re-posting your content and pick out some new followers from there.
Ask For What You Want
Before you lose faith in humanity, remember that not everyone is going to like you. So why waste your time appealing to those people? Instead, focus your energy on the people who are interested in what you have to offer. If people aren’t responding well to your posts, ask them to re-post or like them. If people aren’t following you back, send them a follow request. No matter what you do, no one is going to do it for you. It’s always better to ask than to not ask.
Conclusion
No one ever said that you have to like everyone or agree with everything that is posted on social media. If people aren’t responding well to your posts, that’s their problem, not yours! There are a lot of people out there who are going to hate on you no matter what you do, so don’t let it get you down. Instead, use these tips to stop letting other people’s opinions get in your way and start focusing on what you have to offer.
Cheers

I actually wrote a post about this today. The conclusion was: Haters are going to hate so best accept it now so it doesn't affect you negatively later. That, and if you're running a blockchain business try to be as transparent as possible because wealthy people have more haters than broke people LOL
WOW, cool!

To me, the best way to deal with haters is to not caring them at all. Otherwise, their hate would grow bigger due to our reactions.
Hmm. Yes, best not feed the fire so to speak. I think that is one way to handle it, yes. 👍 Dropping you some hot !PIZZA and !LUV on this post!
