What is Theta Edge Node!
In lay man's terms it's a piece of software that allows people to give some of their internet for some crypto rewards which depend on how good your upload is. In technical language you provide your upload bandwidth to relay (pass forward) data. Simplest thing to image that is similar to this would be a Wi-Fi extender, it takes data and passes it forward (increasing quality of coverage in the area and data consistency).
What is the new Cloud Folding update?
If you are familiar with crypto mining then it's very similar to it but with a goal of being used for medical research. If you don't understand all that mumbo jumbo terminology then - your leasing your computer power to scientists and get a small reward for it, you get something and help medicine advance, a win-win-win situation. The new update allows you to use Cloud Folding to get Theta Fuel (TFUEL) instead of CureCoin, makes sense. In order to use it you must have the latest version of Theta Edge Node which can be downloaded here. You run the application, enter you Theta wallet address ( if you don't have one then you will need to create which can be done through the same last link). Now look below for Edge Compute (BETA) and turn it ON
How to regulate how much resources are being used?
Good question, you wouldn't want this to take everything from your Computer/Mac so proceed to the top taskbar. Click on Edge Compute, hover over Power Mode and select either Light, Medium or Full respectively.
How much can I expect to earn?
Well, there's a lot of variable that could determine this such as your CPU/GPU and power mode, not to mention that this is for medical research so obviously - I assume that you would understand that - you won't get hundreds of dollars per month with a single device. This feature had been added yesterday, literally, so the earnings will be adjusting as most things do, at least I think it will but prove me wrong if you have the information.
