It sucks to not get a raise but it isn't much you can do about it. The economy isn't doing great and I am sure that most places are strapped for cash right now. In a way, I don't really go out of the way to do so much extra work and I just get by doing my job. If you are doing all that extra work, then you definitely deserve that raise.

Most places are strapped, this place isn't strapped - but they are careful, which is also why they aren't strapped. :) A couple months down the track and things will change again.
