I wonder if they will ever reach the state where they can save people's minds online and then people will be uploaded onto Androids living out their lives.
It's one of the things that happened in Xenoblade X so it was the first thing that came to my mind.

It is a school of thought that is out there which is extremely controversial.
Some believe what you describe is going to be possible (and happen). Other things it is horse crap.
So we will see. If it does happen, we will likely be moving in that direction rather quickly. What I mean by that is quicker than people think.

I think that is a possibility, although for now is still a bit far away.
As good as we are in capturing the raw information as data, the experts say it's still hard to capture the nuances of the mind.

They are looking at the brain which isnt the mind according to many. They do not take into account non-locality.
It will be interesting to see how much advancement they actually make over the next few years. The brain is still not well known let alone the mind.
We really do not know what intelligence truly is.
