Despite us not liking the mainstream media, it's still one of the best places to get news from. Their political bias is apparent and I know there are even fake articles being tossed around. However, what is the alternative? There really isn't any other alternative that is good in my opinion for news. The finance section might have alternatives though.

Is it really news if it is slanted? What if there is only a portion of "news" they are showing you?
All of this makes it tough to know.

Well, it's the travel of information that is key. There aren't really any good alternatives outside of using these sources. In some cases, I have seen some people use this as a basis for content and then do their own research into the topic.
