Diversity is good but I don't think moving people without the ability to take these positions is a good idea. If they have the skill set and ability to do the job without issues, then yes I think they should be moved up to leadership. But changing the pool to only woman or minorities can make some unqualified people move into leadership positions.

Yup, that's the idea. The problem is today the exact opposite happens. We have a lot of people moved up to leadership because they are white and male even though they lack the skills for the job.
Not unusual for a woman who is actually more qualified to get denied to a promotion and usually a very bullshit excuse follows like "Oh she's good, but she doesn't have the emotional control that the job requires" and stuff like that.

Very well said , these are the scenarios we must find a solution to . I don't believe in "white privilege" but sometimes "men privilege" happens :/ unfortunately .

You are right but what I am trying to say is , there are women with good skill set but due to social disability they aren't able to reach their potential .
I am not speaking for all women , I don't like 50% of the office should be women even though they don't know the job - NO , only those women who have the skill set but aren't getting the opportunities.
