No I dont think Stearns will go big in that area. I was thinking an under control #3. That would fit and not cost a ton.

There are also a couple studs in the farm system that are about to make some noise. I’m bullish on the Mets future. This season is a bonus if they make a Wild Card spot. I just want them to remain competitive for years to come. Not that one season bullshit @taskmaster4450le

Stearns is not a one season guy. He doesnt blow his wad on a single go.

The guy has a 5 year contract and is going to focus upon sustained winning.

There is no doubt in my mind. Dont forget he sold Hader during a playoff run, a move that netted them more prospects that helped the next year.

There were fans already asking for his head early on. I want to give him the time he needs to get the whole organization from top to bottom on point. Look at the Brewers. Counsell left and they are still winning. First place. Haven’t had a losing season in years. The guy knows what he’s doing and is a Mets fan 🤘🏽 @taskmaster4450le

Yeah. Well most fans arent the sharpest knives in the drawer. They are overly emotional.

Stearns is one of the best in the business. He knows what he is doing. He doesnt build a team but an organization. That takes some time.

Any results at the big league level is minor compared to what he is doing with in the rest of the organization.
