The RUNE tokens intended use is to be added to an LP, paired with another token, or used by the node operators as bond for their nodes. Just Holding it does not generate income, its a speculative pursuit only. RUNE itself is currently a Binance chain token (Bep2) but will very soon be migrating to being a native token on Thorchain, with a Rune bep2 and a Rune Erc20 bridged (wrapped) version.

Thanks a lot for getting back to me, appreciate that info about RUNE and you helped make my mind up with the quick summary. I'll probably leave this one as I'm a fan of generating the passive income through holding/staking but good luck to you, sounds like you've done a lot of research on this one!
