You always like to remind us of the massive potential of this blockchain. I still say we never gamified it like we should have, but you've done a great job overall of keeping people engaged!
So when I saw this little notification the other day, I smiled from ear to ear :)
This blockchain has been with me through a lot. And looking back, it's been a rewarding 8 years filled with plenty of wins but also some losses.
I think the biggest win, has always been and forever will be, the people you meet here!
Hopefully, we never forget that going forward. Whether you are playing Splinterlands, talking crypto on InLeo, uploading videos to 3pseak or just hanging out on your blog. Always remember that people are the lifeblood of this chain. And it's something I have always said, Hive shows us the true human experience.
We see love and hate. Ego and pride. Selfishness and selflessness. Everything and everything, can be found here.
However speaking of my journey, this is something that really hit home with me. Two of my three kids, have been on the earth for as long as Hive has. My second kid was born in August of 2017 (I joined in December) and my youngest was born in 2019.
This is pretty awesome, and I even set them up with some $HBD savings accounts about a year or two ago. Just amazing to think of how long this chain has been around and what it's meant to my family personally.
I won't bore you with the details, but it's saved my family's life multiple times over the past few years...All from amazing support that the community has shown me.
Overall, it's been a great ride. And while I'm still pretty sad about how the powers that be have driven off a lot amazing creators and projects, it's still the best #web3 experience out there.
I got to bring my offchain community over here and attempt to build multiple businesses. I had a blast uploading tons of video content via DTube (for you older Hivians) and 3Speak. I created a pretty popular #podcast along with @taskmaster4450 that we will bring back one day!!! And finally, it's allowed me to share my faith with everyone.
So here's to another 8 years on chain. I hope you guys have an epic time creating and building here as well, and continue to pursue all your web3 and crypto dreams.

Haha congrats! It wouldn’t have been the same for us along the years without you. I too feel a little let down that hive is still a relative secret compared to what it will be but the upside is always there.
The longer it takes to build what we are building will make it stronger when we get there.
Never stop building and here is to 8 more years!
