Would someone who knows kindly give me some HELP!!!

I already read the short blurb Splinterlands provided on their lessons page. Not much help at all.

What I need to know is after I pick my team, how to I finish making it active to do Battles. I've tried clicking on everything (what the hell, hitting every button never hurt). All I ever get is that I surrendered.

I'm really interested in learning the game, so any help at all would be appreciated.

    On the left hand side (if you are using a laptop or desktop) where your team is listed you must scroll up to the top and you will see the battle button:
