Hey everyone! I hope you're enjoying 2021 so far. For us in crypto, it's already been a ridiculously amazing start to the year.
Today, WLEO (our community's ERC20 token) just hit a new ATH... actually several new ATHs. First we hit $0.30 for the first time ever, then we kept climbing... Eventually we hit $0.35 earlier today and then finally as I'm writing these words we just surpassed $0.40 to set a new record ATH for our community.
Our project and community have grown immensely over the course of 2020 and we're seeing all of that hard work finally pay off. Building our own UI from the ground up was one of our greatest challenges in 2020 but after more than 8 months of buidling, we ended up with a UI that is (in my opinion) one of the best on Hive.
As we approach this first week of the new year, I have a lot of updates to roll out.
These updates coupled with the New Year's holiday itself actually led me to forget to upload this episode of The Daily Leo.
This video is about 8 minutes long and I covered some BTC news. With how fast price has moved, you can see the videos age already showing.. even though I recorded this just 3 or 4 days ago.

He just started investing in Apple a few years ago, after much of the run took place. Apple became a value buy, that was when he invested.
His net worth went down in 2020, in spite of a huge run in the stock market. That might tell you about his decisions.

It is all showing how things are changing and the different ideas people are coming up with.
All this keeps crypto in the eyes of the mainstream. The more stories like this, the more open people are because they will become familiar with it.

Happy New Year and I hope crypto gets more acceptance in Asian countries this year although the fear of regulation is high and the fees too. In spite of the fees, people do hope crypto gets accepted because it will mean we get to see legit exchanges and more transactions, and wider awareness about crypto.

Fees are always zero on Hive. As long as there are resource credits, one can transact.

When things move, they move FAST in the cryptosphere!
Warren Buffett pretty much only likes tractors, cement, cornflakes and similar tangibles. If it doesn't involve something he can actually touch or use directly, it's pretty much "rat poison." He'll still be saying that if someone buys a majority stake in Berkshire Hathaway with BTC!
One of the best (albeit small) public crypto awareness moves I've seen is the fact that you can buy BTC from the green CoinStar change counting machines found in most grocery stores across the US. It spreads awareness at a very "low" level to a market segment that would rarely read investment news.
Anyway, here's to a great 2021 for all of us!

He likes banks too which are going to get killed by the advancements in FinTech, including crypto.
His aversion to technology would end up hindering him if he was going to live long enough. Fortunately for him he will likely pass on before the middle of the decade when it will fully hit.

When a large portion of a token float is locked up, it really can do amazing things to the price.
Look at LEO, very few liquid tokens out there.

Jamie Dimon, Warren Buffett, they all knew what they were doing when they talked that crap. They understand trading 101: buy low sell high.
Of course they wanted everyone to think it was not a good investment. It was shortly after Jamie Dimon talked crap about crypto when his outfit bought Bitcoin on a European Exchange thinking no one would notice! This is the same guy that said, I will fire anyone investing in Crypto! or words to that effect.
