If they have it planned right, a single globe-spanning network of 40,000 (final buildout number) satellites should ensure close to 100% uptime from a single provider, no matter where you are.

Could become a gateway to municipalities and even countries offering free public connectivity, to everyone, everywhere.

Better connectivity especially to remote areas.

Hopefully we don't catch Kessler syndrome.
