True, ideally this is how it should work. In these early stages, the bug fixes get pushed through Labs first and since there are so many, it often makes Labs better
One day we'll reach a point where Prod is always more stable than Labs

Without a doubt. There is no reason why the stability of production shouldnt be expected.
It is something that should be a given.
