Many, including us, call into question blockchain's decentralization. For the most part, we all know it is not.
Now this is verified in research.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
So can we say the tendency is centralization in the long run in the decentralized world until the time we innovate something again to make it decentralized? If you count it from the 17th century from imperial rule, and political decentralization, to a laissez-faire economy, it's constantly re-adjusting itself in the larger time frame.
Unfortunately, all these forms somehow retain the bourgeoise character. Think about the tokenized society, it is constantly producing a new middle class, but what if the new middle class does not recognize the governance part of a token, and simply treats it as money to dump it every now and then, the bourgeoise will be happy to acquire those dumped tokens to have a strong influence over the governance, why to blame the capitalist the? Therefore how informed we are about the token will translate into the character of governance in tokenized society.
Then why hasn't anyone EVER done this?
Dumb.

Many Hivers care about STEEM in a love/hate kind of way, and I can appreciate it. I don't have any experience with STEEM, but I know it's a big part of this history for many Hivers.
Likewise, many Hivers care about TRON (TRX) in a hate-follow kind of way, and I can aprreciate that as well. As with STEEM, I have no experience with TRON (TRX).
I mention these cryptos because there's a 3rd one about which I have no understanding at all: EOS.
Why should I care about EOS? How many Hivers have experience with EOS? Is there a connection between Hive and EOS? Is there some sort of history with EOS that I should know about as a Hiver? Is EOS worth buying? Is EOS damaged goods?
The closest I've come to any pf these tokens is SWAP.STEEM and SWAP.EOS, and that's only because I get them as LP Rewards for the diesel pools in which I have or had positions. I have never owned native versions of these tokens.
Although I may have incentives to own this one some day, just out of principle I will avoid TRON (TRX). STEEM may be OK, but I stay away from it given Hive's history. So that leaves me with EOS, which remains a mystery to me.

Yes, there is a connection. Dan Larimer is the lead developer and founder of Steem and EOS. Hive forked out of Steem, so they are somehow related.
EOS was the biggest ever ICO in crypto history, it seems like they never turned up after that hype, the result(the price of EOS now) very well justifies it.
Of late, EOS is playing the dynamics of a stable coin, but on the downside. It never refreshed the ATH in this cycle but it refreshed the bottom in this cycle. Apparently, not a good coin with such price action. (Not financial advice).
Other than the Dan Larimer tie to all of them (except TRON of course), there is very little reason, in my view, to care about them.
EOS was suppose to be the "ethereum killer". It did not achieve that obviously.
It always comes down to where is the development being done. With Hive, we know stuff is happening. Not so with the others listed.

With the level of dip that as hit the crypt market this year,is there any hope of s bull run at all, mete looking at how bad things have been so far
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
The bull market will return; it may just take longer than any of us can handle. Isn't that why there's an expression called "diamond hands"?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yeah. It is easy to have diamond hands through a bull market.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I just meant to have diamond hands during the bear market until the bull market returns, then either keep HODLing or cash out or take profits.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yes. I knew what you meant.
I was pointing out that those who are diamond hands during a bull are not necessarily so during the bear.
A lot easier to HODL when prices are moving up.

As stated above, when the Fed reverses their stance, the risk on asset will be back on the table. That is what cryptocurrency is.

I'm on the 2nd floor, got 20 today.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Haha, that's a nice way to put it. Second floor it is!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Hahaha we are on the same floor!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yes we are! It will be fun to have company climbing to the top

Still stacking away over here now at 19k!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Wow, that's a lot! Congratulations!

Swiss watchmaker Hublot is now accepting Bitcoin as payment for its watches.
Another peg in the ground for cryptocurrency.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I have some stores accepting HBD and hive here.
For hivers within Nigeria.
Hive is growing widely regardless of all the bans.
That is very awesome! People will always find a way to go around bans :)
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
That is great to read. Glad to know it. HBD is something that should be a focus. A lot is happening and if we can establish a foundation with it, that is even more powerful.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Awesome addition! It's great that these luxury brands are getting into crypto which could also entice others in their line to follow suit.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
A good place to start. Each one is another layer added in the shift of the establishment.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yes, and just amazing that they do know how to go with innovation and adopt technology as well.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
The entire thing is a process. Technology spreads, it is just a question of how long it takes.
But we are starting to see the technology of blockchain and cryptocurrency moving outwards. Hopefully we see the exponentials continuing in an accelerating way.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I agree, these things happening are part of the process. It might be a bit slow this time but may get faster as more industries or businesses discover and adopt.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yes in many ways it is slow but others it is quick.
Keep in mind that Ethereum is only 7 years old. The ICO craze ended only 4 years ago. DeFi only became a thing two years ago.
Still very early in this game. What will things look like in another 3-4 years (which goes quickly)?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
idk I just can't give up my bitcoin lol
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I think no one would :) Or maybe the shopaholics will, lol!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
And that is the problem with the idea of Bitcoin as a payment system.
Many feel the same way. Who is going to pay for a watch (or anything) when they expect the price of BTC to double triple or whatever in the future?
It isnt going to happen.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
That's true, it is hard to let go of something we know would "appreciate" in the future. It is better to keep it than spend.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
$HIVE still hanging over 40 cents.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
That's double or nearly triple what it was from the reset we just had. To me that actully shows progress and strength of hive. Otherwise we would have seen ourselves back at $0.13 again or worse! It's a bullish picture to me that hive is on the right track.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I can see that viewpoint and feel it is sound. The old higher lows.
$HIVE is really starting to show something. While people want mooning, it is going to take more development. Hive is laying a strong foundation.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Definitely and slight improvement from it 30 Cent some weeks ago, let just see what happens comes next week,I foreseen it moving upward gradually in coming weeks
Going to see what the markets bring overall. I still think there is another leg down.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Down again,so I think it is advisable to still stay put before buying right now, but I just wished everything can return back to normality Very soon
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I am watching the Fed. When they show signs of pausing, then it might be time to move.
Then the risk on will be on.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Another leg down to take hive below $0.3 cents?....
Thinking about this.
It's holding well in that price range.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Some Hive merchandise available for sale.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
They're great and hopefully customers will find them :)
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
It is something that would be good to promote. It is done by someone on Hive and good to see stores popping up.
We also have Hivelist.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yes, creative way to advertise Hive thru the merchandise. I am yet to explore Hivelist.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
A lot of good stuff being done with Hivelist. Like most things, it probably needs more support. Only a couple people truly making it go.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I just visited it, it looks good too but yes, may need more support. I didn't even know about it until you mentioned. Thank you
