Ahorita, los mercados financieros están bastante revueltos, el panico sigue reinando y luego de la caída de FTX, la incertidumbre sigue reinando, sobre todo para los mercados emergentes como Bitcoin y todo lo relacionado al mercado cripto.
Para poder entender lo que esta pasando actualmente en el mercado, primero es importante entender un poco, al menos lo mas básico de Bitcoin y porque su importancia en la revolución financiera, que apenas con esta crisis esta comenzando.
Bitcoin nace en 2009, su creador o creadores, se hace llamar Satoshi Nakamoto, este descubrió un patrón de minería de oro a través del reciclaje de equipos electrónicos, por si no lo saben, el oro tiene características especiales, que permite la transmisión de la data a través de la luz, mediante la incorporación de pequeñas cantidades del mismo en los chips de los equipos electrónicos, por otra parte la cantidad de oro en el mundo es limitada y este no puede ser destruido. Tomando en cuenta todos estos principios, apoyándose en la tecnología blockchain en sus inicios. Construyeron un algoritmo, el cual a través de la resolución de ciertos problemas matemáticos, mediante un hardware llamado Miner o maquina minadora, la cual para poder funcionar adecuadamente, contiene un chip que almacena 100 microgramos de oro iban a generar una serie de Tokens llamados Satoshis y la conformación de 100 millones de estos iban a ocupar un bloque en la red blockchain, a este bloque es lo que llamamos Bitcoin.
La cantidad de Satoshis que puede ser minada es finita y estará determinada por el conjunto limitado en 21 millones de Bitcoins o bloques dentro de la red, este patrón de minería es bastante similar al del oro y la velocidad de minado es exponencialmente menor en el largo plazo, es decir en sus inicios, las minadoras podian obtener mas satoshis en menor tiempo, por ello minar Bitcoin ya no es un negocio rentable, porque cada vez requieres mejor hardware para obtener menos tokens, por esta razón ya se ha minado mas del 80% del total del ecosistema Bitcoin (19 millones de 21 millones).
¿Cuál es la verdadera utilidad de Bitcoin?
Muchos afirman que Bitcoin es un refugio de valor, otros lo venden como una inversión, pero realmente funciona mas como un sistema eficiente de transferencia de valor, el cual viene a competir de manera directa con el sistema swift y el monopolio del dinero que tienen los Bancos Centrales y los gobiernos a través del Dinero Fiat. Para entender mejor esta premisa, es importante entender lo que es realmente el dinero.
Ahora si queremos asumir que Bitcoin es un refugio de valor, no podemos darle un valor muy superior al correspondiente al respaldado por 100 gramos de oro, que es el valor real de Bitcoin en el largo plazo, debido a la cantidad de oro que poseen las minadoras que generan un bloque de 100 millones de Satoshis en la Red Blockchain, pero aun no se ve el final del movimiento real del precio de Bitcoin en el mercado, es decir todavía no ha marcado su piso mas bajo, por tanto en este momento es peligroso comprar Satoshis para refugiar la riqueza de cara al futuro, aunque Bitcoin es mucho mejor opción de protección que el fiat, el cual no esta respaldado por nada, sobre todo el Dolar, que no esta respaldado por el oro, como muchos creen.
¿Qué esta pasando en este momento en el Mercado Cripto?
Simple, el mercado cripto, naturalmente esta atado al movimiento del precio de Bitcoin el cual es el activo que mas capitalización tiene dentro del mismo.
Desde su creación en 2009 Bitcoin ha venido con un movimiento de crecimiento sostenido en el mercado, pero debido al exceso de impresión de dinero y las crisis financieras que se han vivido en los últimos 15 años, gracias a la estafa del Dinero Fiat y los Bancos Centrales, los grandes capitales comenzaron a obtener dinero de la banca con 0% interés y comenzaron a depositarlo en Bitcoin, mientras mas acentuaba esta crisis, mas capital se fue inyectando en el mercado y como la cantidad de estos tokens son finitos, se comenzó a convertir en un activo de especulación, lo que comenzó a inflar exponencialmente la burbuja, ahí es cuando Bitcoin paso de 19 mil a 40 mil en pocos meses.
Cuando el precio comenzó a ascender los 40 mil USD por Bitcoin, comenzaron todos los retailers a especular y ahi es donde la burbuja comenzó a crecer de manera desproporcionada, alzando el precio de Bitcoin a precios superiores a los 65 mil USD por cada bloque, lo que no se dieron cuenta es que como en todos los mercados, siempre va a haber una corrección y desde hace mucho tiempo el exceso de impresión de dinero y la avaricia en los mercados, le iba a jugar una mala pasada a la gran mayoría y los iba a dejar fuera del juego de una forma abrupta y sin derecho a replica.
El papel de los exchanges en la crisis del mercado cripto
Los exchanges, por mas que su nombre suene a algo innovador, no son mas que bancas que operan en la red blockchain, dándole el servició al usuario de cambiar sus tokens por dinero fiat.
Cuando las personas comenzaron a depositar sus satoshis en estas instituciones, porque simplemente no podían renunciar al fiat, estos comenzaron a operar en los mercados financieros con los tokens de sus usuarios.
Debido a la limitada oferta de Bitcoin, aparecieron los derivados sintéticos, los cuales permitían a otros traders comprar en corto, usando como colateral, las Bitcoins de los usuarios de estos exchanges y a medida que la especulación crecía, el apalancamiento aumentaba, lo cual también hizo desproporcional el riesgo de operaciones con estos instrumentos.
FTX no es el primer exchange en caer en crisis, pero si el primero de los grandes, llevándose consigo el dinero de miles de personas, porque si algo tienen los mercados, es que el dinero de los especuladores, siempre termina en las manos de los inversionistas.
El final de la burbuja cripto y el inicio de una crisis financiera como nunca
Como siempre pasa, todo lo bueno llega a su fin, pero eso no quiere decir que llegamos al final de esta burbuja, porque aun los mercados siguen teniendo exceso de liquidez inorgánica, lo que si vamos a observar es que detrás de FTX vamos a seguir viendo a Bitcoin descender por debajo de los 10 mil dolares, incluso va a llegar a oscilar al equivalente al valor de 100 gr de oro en el mercado por Bitcoin aproximadamente.
Es un error aseverar que Bitcoin funciona como un activo de inversión, debido a que aun no tiene una utilidad definida en el mercado, mas allá de la eficiencia en la transferencia de valor y aparte la mayoría de las personas no entiende lo que representa el dinero libre y descentralizado, ademas de seguir atados a la promesa del fiat.
Como refugio de valor, Bitcoin es una opción, ya que este, no va a ser cero, debido a que la respalda el oro de las maquinas minadoras que escriben el código del token en el ecosistema creado por Satoshi Nakamoto. Se puede decir que Bitcoin es un refugio de valor mucho mejor que el fiat, siempre que lo guardes en una Hard Wallet o un Ledger, pero no lo dejes en exchanges ni lo uses para especular. La ventaja que tiene Bitcoin referente a los demás refugios como el oro, es que es, mucho mas fácil de almacenar y puedes protegerlo de cualquier intervención humana a diferencia del oro, el cual, por lo general no le permiten a cualquiera almacenarlo a grandes cantidades sin ser demasiado visible, en el ecosistema Bitcoin puedes almacenar la cantidad que desees, ya sea en dispositivos virtuales o hardware que caben en la palma de tu mano.
¿Qué podemos esperar en el futuro de Bitcoin?
Como en toda tormenta, luego viene la calma y no será muy diferente del mercado cripto. Muchos afirman que Bitcoin va a desaparecer, pero eso no sera probable al menos por la próxima era, ya que Bitcoin viene a construir una alternativa mas eficiente y descentralizada al sistema financiero imperante, lo que si va a suceder es que muchas criptomonedas que conocemos, van a terminar siendo basura de la red Blockchain y no tendran mucho valor comercial, en cambio Bitcoin si va a prevalecer incluso como referencia para futuras criptomonedas y derivados orgánicos con verdadero respaldo, es decir ya es parte de un nuevo patrón oro, el cual se determina por la relación que existe entre Bitcoin/oro y este servirá como referencia e incluso colateral financiero para la nuevas monedas verdaderamente descentralizadas que servirán para hacer mas eficiente el intercambio de valor, sin intervención de nadie.
¿Y entonces cual es la mejor opción?
Sin duda alguna, el peor recipiente de dinero es el fiat, por ello hay que buscar alternativas reales para proteger nuestra riqueza, Bitcoin es una de ellas, pero no es la mejor, al menos no ahora. ¿Para que hacer Hold de Satoshis pudiendo comprar indexados a indices compuestos?
Si no sabes mucho sobre como funcionan las inversiones, es recomendable tener algo de formación o al menos antes de invertir dinero, busquen asesores con experiencia real, para que no termines siendo victima de los procesos de crisis en los mercados.
Y para finalizar, el techo que dejo marcado Bitcoin, no va a ser superado al menos no antes de 10 años y eso no es que Bitcoin aumenta de valor, sino porque el dinero fiat sigue perdiendo poder adquisitivo en el mercado.
