RE: Daily Crypto Markets Live Blog: Let's Talk About Technology (09/28/21)

I don't have experience with IG, so I can't compare it with Terrive. It's a straightforward program still a working prototype, but developers have made improvements based on suggestions from testers (including me).

The prototype is far enough along that it can be used like any other dApp. My main form of communication was through D.Buzz to one of the developers, @appukuttan66, and he was very responsive to the concerns I had raised (UX and controls).

I'm not sure what's new regarding Terrive, but anyone can use it even as a working prototype.

Yes, a working prototype is fine. But I want to know any other update about this. Do we have a roadmap? What's the next phase of development? That'd give us some idea about what to expect and when to expect.

At the moment I don't have any information like that. When I get back from the appointment later today I can do some research on that.

Dear @magnacarta and @finguru ,

Terrive is an indie project, so IG development is slower than expected because there are limits to what just 1 guy can do 😉. I do work on Terrive whenever i can but i also have to take care of the all real world stuff. Right now, I am doing a major rework for terrive ( not just for #trhome posts, but for all posts ) for more "simpler" page structure so it's easier to add new features in the future 🙂. So, the rework might take time but is worth it for scalability.

Thanks for getting back to us! Thanks also for letting us know what's happening with the Terrive project. I hope things are going well offline for you. Good luck offline and with your work on Terrive. !PIZZA

@appukuttan66! I sent you a slice of $PIZZA on behalf of @magnacarta.

Learn more about $PIZZA Token at hive.pizza (7/10)

I hope things are going well offline for you. Good luck offline and with your work on Terrive.

Thank you 😊😊 !!! I hope you are fine too !!

I'll also drop in a few screenshots of the rework ( in case you are interested 😉 ) !!

Great to hear from you @appukuttan66. Thanks a lot for the update. I can understand now that it can be so hard for a single guy to manage all of it. Sorry for having unrealistic expectations.

Do you plan on adding more people to your team in the future? At some point, you will have to.

Have you thought about getting funding via DHF Proposal?

I don this as a fun hobby, not to make a quick buck out of it 😉, the moment you realize you can make money on something you start to exploit that 😜

Haha. No mate, I totally understand what you are saying. But you have to get compensation for your time and effort. Maybe you are not ready to commit to this fully right now but if you get some income for creating such an application then you might as well put your all in and expand the project. It's a great use case that could put Hive on top of the decentralized social media space.

Just giving you a little perspective. Rest is up to you since it's your baby. ✌

Thank you for the advice ! I guess we will hit that bridge when we get to it 😉 !

Do you plan on adding more people to your team in the future? At some point, you will have to.

Absolutely ! The entire project is open source and can be found on github, so anyone is free to contribute ( I still have to set up the guidlines though ) ! I used to beg for people to join in and contribute at the end of most of my post using terrive 😅 ! But, a lot of dev are comfortable with only "react" these days and sadly IPFS is slow network and using React would slow the website down even more !

Will changing the page structure resolve this problem?

It's good that the project is open source. I will try and see if anyone in my circle wants to contribute or not. Know a few devs! Can you share the Github link where we can see the code?

Will changing the page structure resolve this problem?

Yes ! right now the website tries to load a 600 lined html file and a 1000+ lined js file ( and the entire hive-js lib and bootstrap ) for the main page this can make it slower and unresponsive at times. i broke it down into multiple pages and designed my own libs ! so you have it much faster and cleaner than before...

😊 Thank you !! here is the github link for the current website. the reworked one is not up on github yet ( I'm still working on it ! ).

btw, you can get a sneak peak into the reworked version and how it is way better over here
