Well the upgrades takes forever to come out. When other chains are doing things every week or so, it's easy to forget what BTC is doing.

It looks as if Bitcoin Core undergoes nearlt 2 upgrades a year. Ethereum isn't exactly quick with its upgrades, either, if we go by the most recent hard fork.

That is probably a constant issue with networks as they get bigger. It requires more work to get everyone on board for the changes.

I recall reading a while ago that when asked about Ethereum's switch from PoW to PoS, Vitalik Buterin said the biggest problem would not be technical but personal. It looked as if not everyone wanted to make the switch, but make the switch they would do.

Yea people are free to disagree. If it gets really bad, there might even be hard forks. It's just a part of the process but as there are more people, it takes longer.
