Well to an extent, the phone and mobile applications have definitely change things. I am so use to having my phone by my side incase I need it so it's tough to see things without it. At the same time, we are now connected to everyone in the world through the internet so people are chasing popularity also.

Man, I am so addicted to my gadgets and the internet. Cannot function without these things. They are now basic necessities.

As much as I like using a mobile phone as a gadget, for me some things are best done at a desk using some kind of computer. It's hell manipulating a spreadsheet on a gadget, and I fat-finger text longer than an SMS message.

Always use my laptop whenever I can. It's productive and good for the eyes.
Phones are distracting.

Oh yea, I can't imagine doing spreadsheet work on mobile. It's hell indeed.

Yea I think I couldn't get use to typing all the time on the phone. It's just way faster to type on a keyboard. Also the screen is kind of small and annoying to play games.

As much as I like using my mobile phone for reading, music, and photos, I rarely use it as an actual phone. I can handle going back to Nokia phones.

That's true. Technology has made it easier to connect with your family, friends and loved ones even if they are far. But it also disconnected us from the people we live with. What an irony!

Irony, indeed. Used improperly, mobile gadgets take us down the black hole of social interaction, and that can alienate us from people close to us on the physical plane of life.

Yes, if you are not using the Mobile phone to make money or learn something, it's most probably a waste of time.

I know more than a few couples that met through one of those dating apps and are still together many years later so technology definitely had an impact there

Those dating apps made a difference for those people, and that's what we want from apps like that-- a way to improve life.
