So we can use Hive (and LeoThreads at InLeo on Hive) for things like tabular data, reference, almanacs, key-value pairs, and other bite-sized chunks of data. Posts have their place, but the short forms are key.

I would say that is a productive way to view it. Then, once the data is entered, people can repurpose it. But thinking in those terms helps in my view.
It's one thing to produce short form content (microblogging, image sharing, video sharing, etc.) It's another thing to produce long form content built on short form content. Many people will need to reconsider how they view "short" long form posts. One example I can think of is a long form post written as a vehicle to curate threads.
