RE: Gold Foil Legend Prices: Then Vs. Now!

I was referring more to the situation in which your GF card doesn't get played because your RF is of a higher level. So basically, in the event that a GF is never played due to it not being the more powerful version.

Sorry, I didn't have my coffee today. I understand your question now.

There's gold foil tournaments in which only allow gold cards to be played. For tournament players this means there will always be a use for a gold foil that isn't as far leveled as your main leveled card. As you noted you could also rent it for some passive income. I hold many cards of different levels. I delegate some to random players / offer some for delegation in contest and giveaways / have others playing my alt accounts. There's many ways to utilize extra cards / cards that don't get used because you have a higher level of it in your account.

Okay so you would mainly advocate for finding a use for them rather than selling them on the market by the sound of it.

Its hard to put a direct answer to that. If you need the funds, sell the card. If the USD value of the card you hold is something you are satisfied for selling it for then go for it. If you think you can sell it and purchase some other needed cards or cards that you think might be a better investment then that would be a good move as well. Holding because they are shiny might also work out.
