Difference between a coin and a token

In the world of cryptocurrencies the word coin and token are used interchangeably but they are very different from one another and people dont realize the difference, so what is a coin and what is a token

Crypto Coin : A coin is a native asset to a specific blockchain network and can be traded as a medium of exchange or stored as a measure of value. Most blockchain networks use it as a way to incentivize users to keep network secure

Crypto Token : This are units of value from a blockchain network build on top of another blockchain. there are several blockchain that are build on top of the Ethereum network like DAI, COMP, Minds social media etc. Most NFTs are build on the Ethereum network
