And there goes Blurt.Blog... Offline!

Always nice stories but reality is something different

When the Blurt.Blog blockchain was created as a spin off of the Steem Blockchain, it was portrayed as the place where Blogging was completely free, no boundries, as there are no downvotes possible.
I was wary at first, posted a few posts, but eventually powered down, because I wasn't interested in putting time and effort in another fork. I wanted to stick to Hive and its communities like Leofinance, Sportstalk, CTP, etc...

This is what blurt.blog shows...

And the price fall of Blurt showed me I was right. Also the traffic was quite low, it just didn't feel sustainable. And now this... The site is completely out of the ether. Nothing to find. Really strange, and not really good news in the long run. I don't see this project last a lot longer. I am sorry for the people that feel offended by this, but it is just my opinion. I could be dead wrong, but I think not.

I hope it gets back up soon, so I can pick up my final powerdown...

Sincerely,

Pele23

Mate, how do you actually get your Blurt off the chain? I powered down straightaway as I had no interest and thought it was just going to be bollocks but I couldn't work out how to transfer it anywhere? Give us a clue please!

Well, if it goes back online, you transfer it to Hive-Engine, by sending it to @blurtlink with your accountname as reference. Works like a charm, when it is online...

Cheers for that mate! So I just put my name in the memo field?

Yup, the name of the account where you want to receive it!

too you could send to ionomy and sell for btc and then you move around the world.

Never thought about Ionomy! Again, thanks for taking the time to reply :-)

I've been trying to get on there for the past few days to move out my powered down stake, but same thing, no luck. It's not much anyway, like 10-20 bucks, but that's free LEO right there! lol. Hopefully there will be a way to access it soon.
