The boost content feature on ecency can be frustrating, for me, it's doesn't work effectively and I do have lot of difficulties using it, it barley work for me.

Do you mean on the technical level, or do your boost goes through then refunded? If it's the latter you'll have lhavto increase your posts quality.
They do refund it and I wonder why it's always like that often

I guess it's your post quality (if it get refunded) because they refund mine sometimes.

To be more likely to receive the boost you must apply for the minimum grade. I do this and often receive the boost
