Do we talk about the challenges of being consistent and persistent and how difficult it can be most times. Yeah, I am sure we do, because what we all experience most times are challenges. Most people experience this most times while trying to achieve financial freedom and security. One of man’s most important goal is to be financially free because it gives man pride to be able to provide for his financial needs and sometimes the people around him. So man is always on the move to try and achieve that, I don’t know about people of other cultures, nationality or tradition, but in Africa, money is the most important element in a man’s life. This means that most times, an African man is constantly looking for a way to stay financially free and after they have gotten financial freedom they still try their best to maintain that wealth. No one wants a situation of rich yesterday and broke today, so you see, when can man catch a break?

The process of trying to achieve financial freedom is one of man’s toughest journey, because it entails a lot of moment which involves contemplating to giving up, sometimes you have a moment to reflect on the end result of all your efforts. We work so hard, only to die at the end, because death is inevitable for all living things. These are some of the thoughts that might encourage one to give up while trying to be consistent and persistent in trying to achieve financial freedom. But then, you have to remind yourself the good parts of life and the reasons you are on this journey. Life is great, not just good, its great, especially when you have wealth and good health. There are lots of things in the world to achieve, there are lots of places to go and see, there are lots of food to be tasted, there are lots experiences to achieve, this is the goal for me, life is an adventure and I want to experience the good part of it.
I watched an interview of a big crypto tech Nigerian CEO who we all know is wealthy, this is someone I have always looked up to since my journey in the crypto space. I thought this man has is life figured out or planned out as a crypto tech CEO, but guess what? He said he doesn’t have his life figured out and when he started the crypto tech company he never had a technical knowledge of crypto and the basic experience of how to run a crypto company, he didn’t know how to code? He had an idea, started and never gave up. While he has attained some level of success, he is still pushing for how to be better and sustain his success. He also gets the idea to give up but he has a goal and that is the most important thing.
I have learnt that complaining all the time doesn’t even solve quarter of our problem, but its valid, its a way for human to vent. Venting is good, its therapeutic, but complaining too much and making it a habit is very bad. Every one has that one thing that is difficult for them to solve or achieve, but as long as you have a goal and something that puts fire in you, this will help you stay focus in trying to achieve your goal, you won’t learn all these things till it starts testing you. I am having my test now and I can tell you, its not an easy one but I am trying my best to be tougher.

The process of actually going towards financial freedom is hell lot tougher than we could think of. Especially when one is starting from the very beginning without anything. I can relate to that because I have been through these sort of situations. It actually is far more difficult than we can actually think. Consistency and even after that not getting enough results that actually demotivates from going forward. But once that phase is taken care of, I mean the disappointment part we see the fruits of our labor. Nothing is easy it never has been.
Exactly! Which is why we need to overcome that phase and learn to cope up with disappointments, hardships, not getting enough out of our efforts and so on. As we all have our chances and sooner or later we will get it. Once attaining that opportunity life usually takes a definite turn for us! ;)
You have said it perfectly well, starting from scratch is very hard.
It's often a long road. I just can't understand those who never embark on this journey. Happy to 9 to 5 until they are too old to... and then it's pretty much "Game Over". It makes no sense...
