The Perfect Strategy To Consistency

in LeoFinance2 years ago

Trying to be consistent in your goal, comes with an instinct that makes you want to be better. If you genuinely want to be better at what you do by increasing your rate of consistency, it comes naturally, it’s like an intrinsic value, some people get it, some people don’t. For those that don’t get it, they have to learn it, or rather, can I say they have it within them but need some awakening.

As humans, when we set out a goal, most times we focus more on the result and achieving it sooner instead of focusing on the process that entails achieving it. My advice or strategy is making sure you choose a strategy or rather a technique that guarantees you will come back and do it again the next day. Just like going to the gym to work out for that summer body. When you come to the gym, you don’t go carrying 40KG on your first day at the gym, you are going to bruise your muscles or even break your bones. You don’t go lifting heavy weights because you want to see results faster.

What you need to do is start small, lift smaller weights so you can gradually build internal strength. This way you are training your body and mind to master these weights, and gradually, you see your body adapting to it. Now, your reps and sets matter. If you have been lifting weights, you will understand, you lift weights that won’t break you and take reps that also won’t break you. If you see other people going 20 reps, that doesn’t mean you need to go 20 reps like them. You can start with 5 reps, come back the next day and increase it to 6, then back again and increase it to 7. This is way you are creating a strategy that guarantees you will come back the next day.

Using Same Principle For Hive

Most times we know this but don’t want to admit it or practice it, because we are more focused on progress than the process. This is something that applies to a hiver that is trying to achieve their hive goals. Most times we create a Hive goal in our head and focus more on the imaginary progress than actually putting effort in the process.

Doing those things that guarantees our consistency of constantly doing things that will make us come back and do it tomorrow provides a solution in trying to achieve what we want to achieve. For instance, on Hive, you have a blogging goal, or an HP goal, you have to constantly put in the work, that involves blogging daily. If you are not disciplined enough to blog daily, if you are the type that blogs once a month, you can start with once a week. Start making one blog a week, then progress to make twice a week, then thrice a week, till you graduate to one blog daily.

It’s A Process

You see what just happened there, you just helped yourself provide a solution to your blogging problem. You might not get that monthly HP goal you set out to get immediately, but at least you got one problem solved which is inconsistent blogging. Now you are consistent in blogging, you just have to focus on posting quality content to attract readers to your blog that will boost engagements.

It’s a process, you don’t have to have everything figured out, you just have to make sure you figure them out one step at a time.

Great write up. Usually the hardest thing to do is start and everything flows from there. You begun to identify your strengths and weaknesses. Taking it in a step at a time locks everything in.

Life it self is a process and achieving in hive also involves a process which may not be a fast one but a gradual one

That's right! That's the strategy for the vast majority of things, really.

There is a phrase from Tibet that says: "If you want to go far, it is best to walk slowly".

A hug! Have a good night!

Nice one from Tibet, slow and steady gets you there.
