I have been noticing for the last couple of days, whenever I am going through my TWITTER (Now X) feed, I am seeing my Splinterlands folks are regularly updating about their card purchases. And even more surprising fact is, they are collecting GOLD FOIL version Splinterlands cards for their decks. It sort of peaked my interest and without much of a delay I had to see what was going on!
Needless to say, the overall market of Splinterlands has been falling drastically over the last few weeks. SPS has seen a major crush in its price, resulting to get near its lowest. In addition the price of cards has fallen to its pit. Since we are almost at a ground level point, this is where some OG players are taking the most benefit of the situations. Picking up those cheap cards at a discounted rate! Makin their decks even stronger than before. This scenario has been increasing and making a positive impact among the users of Splinterlands in TWITTER (Now X). In recent times I have noticed multiple users are following the footsteps of this OG's. It is a very very positive sign which is being replicated within the community of Splinterlands.
Yeah, there are some major steps which needs to be taken in order to make Splinterlands get its position back at where it was.
Marketing
There are plenty of gamers available within the crypto space, who have no idea that we/Splinterlands exist. This is one of the most tragic scenario for Splinterlands. Even though, recently Splinterlands has completed its 6 years anniversary but yet we are not able to bring the necessary resolution for the game. We desirably need marketing in order to survive in the upcoming days.
X marketing, Forums, Gaming community awareness about Splinterlands, Content creators (YT, Twitch etc). We Were broadcasted in KILLERWHALES, which is possibly one of the most anticipated places that many of the web3 games/entities desirably want to be but were not able to. Although, we aired and were successful in bringing in the whales into diving with us but we were not able to make this news big outside of HIVE community. Resulting, we did not get enough limelight even though we were suppose to get!
Let's be honest, we need more investment and not to mention we need more and more organic players into the game. Which arises the question? What benefit are we going to give to the players who are onboarding the game? If they buy a complete maxed set of cards at todays price, will they be able to recover their investment after a certain amount of time or will it just diminish just like other so called web3 games!
As an investor, player of Splinterlands, I whole heartedly want this game to succed. As I have invested not only money but time out in here which I never get back. And not to mention the community that we have is unbreakable. Which is why even in this current condition, users are trying their best to support the game in each and every way possible. I myself am buying SPS as much as possible with the funds that I have at my disposal. In the coming bull run we definitely want Splinterlands to succeed. Which is why we need to give people a reason to hold onto their cards, SPS and other Splinterlands assets.
Lets hope the team finds something to work with and do what is needed to be done to regain the position of past glory!
