Looks like there's a competition going on. NFT.NYC (@NFT_NYC) has tweeted a poll for the first annual NYC NFT Awards. The tweet indicates the award up for grabs is "Best Gaming Community".

Those Axie votes added up in a hurry.
Hate to say but I think Axie already got this in the bag. I mean it already got 76.6% while Splinterlands just got 11.7%. That said we all know that Splinterlands' the real number one NFT game in the market so no big deal.

No idea why.
Axie still has way more players than Splinterlands, I think.
But 2nd place is already great; if Splinterlands can keep up with this position, the game will be featured in future articles and posts about NFT Gaming that they'll publish.

Allot of those Axie votes came in at the same time. I suspect upvotes from ghost accounts or bot accounts but I could be wrong. Splinterlands was in the lead, 20/30 minutes later Axie was by a landslide.

That would make a lot of sense.
Axie (IMO) has a lot more at stake of being lost than Splinterlands anyways.
