I wrote a couple of days ago asking 'what crypto should I buy?' with £500 - here's what I bought...
I had a look at some of the coins people recommended, and wasn't too impressed by many of them TBH, so I mainly just added to the coins I've already got!
I think I just like to keep things simple.
Bitcoin - 62.5%
I'm a ways off owning 1 whole BTC - but I've decided I'm going to aim for a whole one, so I thought I'd kick start this today by buying just over another £300 worth.
I think spending 60% of my unexpected £500 on BTC is a sound move, I mean it's the ultimate crypto mothership after all!
RUNE - 10.4%
This is the big win for leofinance - I've seen a number of people banging on about RUNE, so I bought another couple of hundred to add to my initially small amount.
TBH I've got no idea WTF it's about - I'll get around to researching it laters.
I'm really just trusting some of the big names here on LEO as I know this is what they've bought!
ETH - 10.4%
I have a love hate relationship with this coin - I love the fact I can stake and do stuff with it, I hate it's dysfunctional transactionality.
BUT, I wanted a little more so I can stake a bit more WLEO in the next couple of weeks, without swapping LEO.
Litecoin - 8.3%
I have a real soft spot for Litecoin - I own many Litecoins, and I just like the fact that I can buy a whole one very easily. It's also cheaper to move around than BTC and generally quicker too.
I just have this feeling that when BTC moons, LTC won't be too far behind!
BAT
I like the fact that the job lot of it has already been printed and it's synergy with the Brave Browser, I can only see this becoming more and more visible and thus more and more attractive to buyers going forwards.
Hive
At the current low low prices, I couldn't help myself. There's also the fact that LEO depends on Hive - if Hive dies, so does LEO, folks, showing some support for the mother-token isn't such a bad idea you know!
I also bought a little bit of ADA, I quite liked the look of that, but a tiny amount with some BTC I had kicking around on Bittrex.
An 80-20 strategy for buying in...
So, in the end I opted for 80% on the big three main tokens and then 20% on three lower market cap tokens.
That feels about right to me, I'm happy with the balance and I think any further fiat to crypto conversions I do I will keep the same ratio - but I'll probably buy entirely BTC from now on rather than more LTC and ETH, in fact maybe JUST BTC.

A bit of AVA wouldn't do any harm, it's up 38% today. I still like your chosen cryptos, especially ETH. Once the altcoin season begins ETH will be again the leader.

I have the same feelings about LTC. It's easier to own "one", plus it's one of the top coins too.

Perfect! the big problem of some investor its to be over-diversified, its ok to invest in many things but some people jsut exagerate! haha, well regarding your porftolio eth and btc was a must buy!! All the economy of the world its getting crazy and have some btc its like protect you from that clowns that are printing money as there was no tomorrow...
Ltc its doing pretty cool, i just joined litebringer thats a pc game on the litecoin blockchain and it shows the power of that blockchain.
I dont know nothing about rune, but if you have some information i would be glad to know a bit about it. And brave! omg its the best browser now by far.

Fantastic diversified, I loved that you do not forget our lovely hive tokens it is great, I too had a little Ada maybe have a future with too the sit of polka-dot blochchain.

Nice analysis. I tried diversifying my portfolio. But, it seems I will stick with BTC with my future purchase. Once I reach 1 BTC then will think about others.
That's mostly my strategy for the future, just with a little diversification!
